Hi

My wife finally moved here last month on spouse visa. We are now planning to go canary islands for a holiday. My question is does she need a visa to go there?

Thanks

Like Nyclone says if she is a citizen of a country that requires a visa to visit the Canary Islands then yes; having this UK spouse visa doesn't change anything. All the UK spouse visa does is allow her to live and work in the UK for the amount specified. The Canary Islands is a part of Spain, so if she needs a visa to travel to Spain then she will definitely need one.

As your wife is an Indian national, a Schengen visa will be required. As holder of UK spouse visa, it may make the visa application process slightly easier, and you may be given a multi-entry visa valid for a year or more, at the consulate's discretion.
