Hi there,

I am a British citizen and my husband lives in Ghana.
I have recently returned to work after 9 months maternity leave and my annual earnings are £24k per annum. However, I have chosen to return on a part time basis, until October thus reducing my earnings to £14.4k per annum.
As I understand this is below the financial threshold we will put off our visa application until I am in full time employment (circa early April 2016  ).
My (anticipated) problem is because part of the financial year I received maternity pay, then went part time my p60 in 2016 will show total earnings before tax of just below£17k, although the previous 6 months will have payslips of £2000 before tax.
Alternatively if we submit on 1st April say, I will have to include my P60 for 2015 which is significantly less (£10k) because of the SMP I received.

Would that then mean we would have to wait a further 6 months before applying?
(I hope that wasn't too confusing)

Please help!:fingerscrossed:
