Hey everyone,

Hope you all doing good.
I was wondering if anyone is connected with Tuenti or knows somebody that is. I tried joining but it seems that it works via invitation only.

So this is a cheeky request but if anyone can assist please let me know.
Thanks!

my younger daughter uses it - she says it's not as good as Facebook & she hardly ever uses it

all her friends of whatever nationality use FB but only a few of her Spanish friends use tuenti

my elder dd joined but doesn't use it at all

Thanks,

I can imagine it is not as large or popular as FB.
I would still like to try it out though, maybe its the fact that I cant get in that drives me haha.

My daughter uses it. As Xabiachica says, its not as good as facebook and she only has one or two Spanish friends on it - it does seem to be mainly for teenagers from the little I know of it??!!

Pues....
My daughter uses Tuenti much more than Facebook. It's very Spanish orientated and it's mainly for youngsters. My daughter is 17.
She has Facebook too, and keeps in touch with my sister and some south american friends using that.
It probably depends on which area you're in and what becomes popular in that area too, thinking of school friends for example.

you have a point - all my dds' friends use FB - only a few use tuenti (including a few English kids) - schoolfriends of course - maybe it's because there are so many nationalities here, & a lot have FB accounts to keep up with friends & family in other coutries, that it's more popular in this area

it does seem to be used mainly by youngsters though, as you say

I am a member and get regular updates but never open the messages. A 13 year old girl I met at a party insisted that I join so she could keep in touch but it really is just for youngsters and at 68 years of age I don't really have that much in common with Spanish teenagers.

Thanks for the info everyone.
Reason I am looking for an invite is I did something similar a few years ago. I had a 4 month contract in Russia so I joined a networking site for Russians (also invite only strange enough) a few months prior to me leaving.

It helped me a fair bit, once I landed I never felt as lost, already had contacts to show me the ropes, have a few drinks with etc.. :)

The teen thing is a problem, but I am sure there are some people in my age group (28), so if anyone can send me an invite though, I would like to check it out, hopefully it works as it did for me a few years ago...cant wait for the final move, nerves are already in a spin.

Thanks let me know :)

to be honest you might just as well connect with spanish people on FB - you don't need an invite & plenty of spanish use it

just write something spanish in the search, and where you're going to be
