My wife and I have had the Spouse Visa issued and I am wondering about travelling to other European countries.

She arrives in the UK 24th August and I am planning on taking her to Spain for a holiday in December. Can anyone tell me if this will be possible with her spouse visa (which is marked "Multiple Entries"), or will we have to apply for a visa to enter Spain (or other European countries.

Once again I thank you for your help.

A UK visa is only applicable to the UK. If a person of your wife's nationality ordinarily needs a visa to travel to Spain, she'll have to apply for one

But such a visa should be issued free with a streamlined application. Details on Spanish embassy site. They may even issue a multi-entry visa valid a year or longer with each visit restricted to 90-in-180 days but valid throughout Schengen zone, so that you don't have to get a separate visa for each visit.
