I'm an Italian citizen and I'm living in London with my non-EU unmarried partner.
She has an EEA Family Permit visa valid for 6 months (expiry date March 2018).
We would like to visit Spain in December for 1 week.

Do we need a Schengen visa to fly to Spain as tourists for 1 week?
Is it the same to visit others Schengen countries or my home country (Italy)?

Thanks.

First it depends on her nationality. If someone with her citizenship requires a Schengen visa for Spain, she needs it too. If she gets 5-year residence card, then she can visit other EU/EEA countries without a visa for 90-in-180 days if she is travelling with you or she is joining you at the destination.

Thanks everyone for all these information, we'll apply for a Schengen visa but I don't know if it is possible because we are in UK from less than 4 months.
