Hello. Need one help, Will Indian Immigration allow exit and Aus DBF allow entry if I am travelling on an Indian passport expiring in less than 6 months? (170 days to be precise)

Tourist visa- Probably no
Work visa - Maybe
PR - No issues
If you are travelling via a third country, then you may be in problem for all type of visas
Cheers

I recently travelled in this situation.

Australia, your passport has to be valid on the date and time entering the country.

Most of the countries, require, 6 month valid passport, before you can travel.

India, officers will create issue that your passport needs to be valid for 6 months before you can travel. Airlines can pose trouble.

Before flying, ensure to communicate with airlines and immigration officers in India.

all the best.

Very high chances of being denied boarding in india and maybe even Malaysia and entry in Australia
Get the passport renewed before travelling
No point in taking a risk especially with an elderly person
Cheers

Hi All,
I am travelling India in next 15 days from Australia. I have 7 months of expiry of my passport. So traveling to India won't be issue.
But I am returning to Australia in the first week of April, and at that time I will have less than 6 months of passport expiry.
I am a permanent resident of Australia.
Will I have an issue in exit from India? and during the entry to Australia?
I am planning to book direct airlines (Quantas or AirIndia), so there is no intermediate country to cause trouble. Getting passport renewal in India would a bit time constraint as I wont be staying at my residence and so verification etc + will have to wait for the new passport and then updating the details to Australia Immi.

Could any guide on best process I should follow?

Thanks
