Hi all
After deciding last sept to emigrate we started gathering docs for my husband who is a chef - problems ensued with an application (he cannot provide refs for the 3 yrs after he qualified) I have decided to apply instead for a 176 visa to WA on my skills (hairdresser). I have already passed ielts with score of 7 and yesterday I sent off my migration skills assessment application to tra. We are not using an agent as I have already lost money from hiring a particular company and after a little research found they were scamming people left right and centre.... So I have decided to abandon them and apply myself as we cannot afford to hire someone new.
So I have a couple of questions regarding my tra application that I have not been able to get from either tra or diac (having emailed both and both telling me to ask the other). I have applied for migration skills assessment..... Do I also need to apply for points advice and at what stage do I need to send it? I have been looking at some forums and it seems there is a backlog in tra so wondering if I should send points advice application off as I'm running dangerously close to deadline in June and risk having hopes of emigrating shattered!!
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!
