You do realise that lots of Brits on this forum are going to be jealous that you got such a speedy response, though it would of course be because there are very few Brits in your area.
Yes, I'd be surprised if there are 20 in the whole department.

I think I've met 4 Brits in 7 years (if I add Nancy to Les Vosges).

As others have said this is just saying to come in (you've been approved!) to get your finger prints done. blown away how quickly you've been dealt with! Congratulations!

Thanks CM.

I may have accidentally  mentioned Junior's nationality.

I'll book the appointment once the snow clears.

Be careful clicky.

Smeg frequents the Vosges quite often.

Stay clear of Rambervillers if you don't want to add a fifth to your list. :D

Clic Clac, you really don't need to take everything you submitted with your application, since you have been approved. If they sent attachment/s with the email, then take those with you. You could take the email as well. You will of course need ID (your passport) and I suggest proof of your address. If you got a message when you made the appointment, take that plus any attachments.

D-Day yesterday at the Prefecture.
It's a fair old drive, so I allowed an extra hour, but I'd forgotten the old nursery rhyme :

" Hurray, hurray the 5th May,
All roads to be dug up in Epinal today."

The last 5 kms turned into a nightmare, circling the Pref but I couldn't find a way through to it or any parking near by, and the clock ticked down.
Finished up with a long walk (run) to arrive with 1 minute to spare.

Headed towards a guy on the desk but was intercepted by another man with a clipboard, who escorted me to the 'window'.
Here an older lady mumbled through her mask, and whatever she said was blocked by the plate glass.

Luckily I had followed the mantra of Dear Bev :

1) Copy & take every document they've asked for.
2) Copy & take every document they haven't asked for.

She was fixated on my having a document to prove I arrived in September 2018, but I don't have anything as xMadame handled everything on arrival.
I kept stressing that the deadline was only last December, then she accepted my business inscription for 2019.

She asked if I was single, and I said yes but added Junior. She became very excited at the thought that I'd 'forgotten' to apply for him,
then Old Clickie played his Pair of Aces with Junior's French birth certificate & passport. She folded, and told me to await the postman.

Never asked about income. Nine minutes in & out including the time with Monsieur Meet & Greet.

Next available RDV is May.
Certainly hope the snow has gone by then.
Many a true word said in jest :

Hailstones yesterday, freezing cold wind. Feels more like December. ⛄

Extremely cold here too!

Glad you got it all sorted despite the hassles.

After several days of just piling on sweaters, yesterday we lit the stove to warm up the house a bit. We've got a fire going again today. It really gets cold at night - they're predicting 2° here tomorrow morning. But by Sunday the temps are supposed to be up to 25°.

Anyhow, am very happy that my "mantra" was successful and that Junior's docs turned the trick. Well done!

See the FAQs, top of page 2 there is an email address to contact for those who don't receive the email about receipt of their application.
I see this thread was bounced recently.

I eventually stopped procrastinating and emailed them, they told me to apply again. More procrastinating and I did, checked my junk mail for the auto reply, I got it, only to find a response from my 1st application, months before, for an appointment on the previous Friday. The gods has conspired against me.

Anyway, the 2nd appointment arrive about a week later, in fact this time it was a summons, rdv went well and I'm now waiting for it being sent out. Like the recent vaccine, I found the system very efficient. Well played the prefecture.

All we need now is the gunboats to be withdrawn from the Jersey waters and we'll be fine ;)

Thanks everyone

Thanks Bev.

It got me thinking after the visit.
I might have problems proving my 2018 arrival when I hit the '5 years' target.

I've got xMadame searching for documentation that includes me, but if that's unsuccessful I wonder if the Mayor might provide an attestation?

Our Mayor has been happy to provide a certificate of residence when asked, we needed one for our initial Titre de Sejour dossier and she did one for me recently when I had to travel to the U.K. for my Mums funeral to say that I do live here. I am sure yours will be happy to do that for you too Clic Clac.

Ok, thanks.

I'll do it next week whilst it's to mind then I've got it (as I will have moved long before my 5 years are up).

If all the bills ect were in Mme's name she can do an attestation for you:

On another point everyone shoudl look carefully at what YOUR prefecture wants as I am discovering now that some of the slower ones have started that there is a HUGE difference, some just want your passport and photo others want everything and up to 3 photos!

You (she) can also go on to the EDF site and add your name to the contrat. Then you can print an attestation titulaire de contrat. I added my wife for the same reason instead of providing an attestation de hébergement.

But that wouldn't be retrospective, thus no use as evidence that ClicClac arrived in 2018.
