Hi, apologies if this question has been raised before. I did try to search for an answer before posting :)
I am filling out the 'Details of time spent outside of the UK' to submit holidays and business trips/work abroad. Is that correct?
If so, is it a requirement to present an employer letter confirming that you are required to travel for work abroad?

Hello,

All what it is, the ECO wants to know if you've spent more time living outside the UK, to assess if you're eligible to continue your stay in the UK.

There have been cases where spouses get the visa approved and then live outside the UK for a long time and then return back to apply for FLR. In theory, they don't live in the UK, so their FLR applications get refused.

Applications with holidays, business trips and short term working abroad have been accepted.

You have to complete, with as much details as possible, but provided they were within acceptable limits, shouldn't affect your chances of success.

Thanks Joppa, would it be a good idea to add an employer letter then, because the work abroad is frequent?
Many Thanks
