We have just been granted our State Sponsor for SA today....woooohoooo.
I wanted to see how long it take for DIAC final application to be aproved? does anyone know the rough timelines?

Also does anyone know if after recieving the SS that DIAC decline the application?

If you lodge your 176 today online, it will take 3 weeks for a CO to get allocated. After that the grant depends on how sooner you satisfy CO on your docs front. If you have all docs crystal clear and PCC/Meds front loaded, you will get the grant directly without any questions.

I was allocated a CO within 7 days of lodging the 176 online application..

and the CO directly asked for PCC,Medical..

For a GSM 176 State sponsored application you should expect CO allocation in 2-3 weeks. If you are ready with the medicals and PCC then it should be quick. The CO would also ask for form 80 and form 1221 for secondary applicants.

Getting a state sponsorship is not a gaurantee of getting the visa. There are various other factors that can affect the visa decision like medical reports, pcc report etc. DIAC also does a skill assessment again so some people have also failed on that part. You can only be sure of the visa after you get the grant email. But normally if the paper work is clear it should not be a problem getting the visa.

Thank you everyone for the information. DIAC application was logde yesterday as soon as we got the approval from SS. Hopefully by end of year this should be all sorted out and we can move....
