Tier 2 Visa able to marry in UK?

Hello. My fiance and I (both USC) were supposed to get married in the US this summer, but he was transferred to London unexpectedly this spring and can't take the time off to return to the US until Christmas. I plan to apply for a visitor for marriage visa, and then get married in the UK in July. I would then return to the US to apply for a dependent visa. Is he able to get married in the UK on a Tier 2?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

It should be fine provided his visa is for a period longer than six months. You both have to give notice of marriage at a designated register office (google for details).
