My husband is applying for a job in the UK. In the event that he gets the job I have been looking over the Visa process. We are both US citizens.
I am trying to understand the dependent maintenance part. My husband would have 4 dependents: Me (his wife), and our 3 children.
Do I have this part right? (before June 2012 - just saw some new changes they will be making)
He would need to have £800 for himself, & then £533 for each of his dependents... for a grand total of £2932 in savings before he came to the UK?
And then what do they look at (what formula do they use) to decide if he'll have enough maintenance funds to provide for our family once in the UK and working?
