Hello Expats,

I have been working in UK for last 3 years. My wife was working with me on dependent visa. She has now gone back to India for her maternity leave and receiving her maternity benefits.
If I change my employment now while I am in UK, how can I ensure that she would get her new visa (which she would need to apply from India) at the same time as mine so that there is no gap between when her previous visa expires and new visa starts. Because she is not in UK, a gap may mean her employment would be curtailed (not sure if this is true). Also, would her new visa be considered for "entry clearance" which may mean (again, not sure) that her new visa becomes valid only after she enters UK?

The best way out is she comes to UK and then we both apply for new visa from UK. But I was wondering if there is a way out which would not need her to travel?
