Hi,
I’m hoping someone else might have had a similar experience to what I am in right now?
My Tier 1 visa expires in mid May (4.5yrs working in UK) and I get married in late April. I was thinking of extending my Tier 1, and then applying for ILR in October when I have reached 5yrs in the UK. However, I have taken significant time away from work to finish my Masters degree, and now do not meet the salary requirements for the past 12months.
Would anyone be able to offer some advice as to my option? Whether I
A) could apply for some special dispensation, as I was studying?, or
B) should just go for the spousal visa (and wait an extra 18mths for the ILR?
Also, do I need to apply for the spousal visa outside the UK, even if I have been living here for the past 4.5yrs?
thanks in advance,
Chris
