Hi all,

First time post so please go easy on me.

After being given the all clear from cancer back in September myself (aged 37) and my wife (40) have decided that we would like to bring up our two young sons (7 &3) in Florida where my parents are US Citizens.

We qualify under the Third Preference I-130 program but are obviously disappointed by the significant backlog.

Is any preference given to other countries outside of the Mexican and Chinese quotas or is everything in strict date order but my dad said he read somewhere that someone from the UK got their application approved within 12 months out of the Californian visa offices.

We are pretty much resigned to this not happening which is a shame.

Third: (F3) Married Sons and Daughters of U.S. Citizens
an Immigrant visa would take 11/12 years currently

there are about 5 million in the family queue

no such thing as a CALIFORNIA VISA OFFICE
