Thinking of taking the plunge

Hello forum.

I have decided that I need a change from my job in the UK and after visiting friends in Dubai last year I have decided this would be the best move for me. I had a couple of questions and was wondering if you could answer them please?

I currently work as a network administrator. I have done this job for three years, and I have one years experience on top of this in a similar role. At the same time I also have experience in web development (PHP, mySQL, ASP etc). I would love to pursue web development but as I have most experience in the networks side of things I wouldn't mind carrying on with this line of work. I was wondering what is the most sought after area is in Dubai? This is so I can gear my CV for recruitment agencies.

I was also wondering what my general job prospects would be over there? I am degree educated (2:1), English and I am not scared of hard work. Also what sort of salary would be acceptable? My main aim is a change of life, not to make as much money as possible (though I would'nt say no :) ).

Basically any advice would be fantastic. Thank you for your time.

Not sure if there are any recruiters on this message board from dubai, but that is your best bet. They will beable to answer all your questions for sure.

First search dubizzle jobs, then contact the agencies that are listing IT roles directly and ask for similar roles. It helps if you can be specific in what role you are searching for as they are busy people.
