We move from the UK in July. My husband works for an investment bank here and they have offered him a post out in Dubai. He has been told there that he will sort his visa out there and doesn't need to do anything in the UK. This is beacuse they are like an offshore part of the the bank the way they trade? Anyway my question is, is this correct? My research on here and other sites satates that I will have to get my birth certificate and marriage certificate certified in the Uk sending them somewhere (Milton Keynes) then I thought I needed to send something else to London? I know the actual residency visa is sorted in Dubai after a blood test but bit worried that he thinks we don't need to do anything with our documents until we arrive.
I would be very grateful if someone could offer me some concrete advice on this as don't want to find out his HR team were wrong when we arrive!!!
