I was just wondering if someone has gone through the process to apply for Australian passport for the kid newly born to a permanent resident family.
1)
a) da processing times till u get the passport b) the process itself c) the costs involved

2) Are there any additional rights available to the newly born kid relative to other kids born overseas before PR but now on PR visa with their parents.

Thanks for taking out your valuable time to read this message n reply

If your child was born in Australia with you as PR they are already a citizen just apply for their passport. If the chid isn't to be traveling soon they do not need a passport, they will still be an Australian citizen.

No there are no other benefits or rights to the rest of the family. They can apply for citizenship when they qualify.
