Hi there
I have been teaching high school Maths in the UK for the past 2 years and have already completed a QTS.
I have been offered a permanent position at a school that is willing to sponsor me but has never sponsored a Canadian teacher before. However, they are quite willing to do this and have applied for a licence. I am planning on returning to Canada in July to get the visa.
Would you know how long it normally takes for a school to receive this approval and provide sponsorship to me? Wouldn't I need this proof of sponsorship to obtain my visa.
I would like to move ahead by looking for a flat, get settled in the city and go home to get the visa. My dilemma is there is still no clear indication the school will receive this licence. Seems like everything is still up in the air. Would there be any reason for the school to be rejected for this licence?
Thanks so much.......Angela
