I would appreciate any advise on primary school teaching positions in Cyprus. I am a qualified primary school teacher, British with a Cypriot father, who has been teaching for 20 years. My husband who is a TEFL teacher with a masters, currently working in higher education, and I are looking to move to Cyprus in the next few years. We have lived abroad in Dubai for many years and so are familiar with expat life. Would you recommend moving to Cyprus first or securing a teaching position first? Do the international schools advertise locally or internationally. Also any ideas on salaries would be useful. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I would recommend moving to Cyprus first. In order to secure a job as a teacher here your degree(s) must first be approved by KYSATS (based in the Ministry of Education in Nicosia) as equal to what it is required here. The international schools advertise locally. I have no idea about salaries unfortunately.
