Hi
Just received this years Tax Habitat. In fact our first and thanks to Forum Advice it has managed to find its way to our uk home. Unsure as to what the "Montant de votre redevance audiovisuelle " is. Presume it relates to television, computer, telephone. We currently have none of them in our French home. Do we pay this part and then ask for a rebate or not pay at all ? We only have until the 15 nov to send cheque. Grateful for any advice.
Thanks Sam:confused:

The redevance is the television tax. There is a place on the French income tax declaration to declare that you don't have a television, though if you aren't subject to French income taxes, I'm not sure how you are supposed to do that.

Probably best to contact the tax people (at the address on the bill) concerning the television tax - at least for next year. (Assessment date for the taxe d'habitation is 1 January.) Paying late this year means you need to tack 10% more onto the cheque.
Cheers,
Bev
