Hi all, can somebody please give me some advice regarding working tax credits.
Me and my wife have just received a confirmation letter about the working tax credits award. I hold a British passport and my wife is on a 33 month British spouse visa. Her visa says no access to public funds so I am just a bit worried if this could affect her new visa when this one experies. When I made the claim I did specify that she is a on a spouse visa and that she can't receive any money from public funds. I tried to do it as a single claim as we have a kid however the claim is in both of our names. Is this going to be a problem when she applies for a new visa in 30 months. Is she allowed to be on the claim in the eyes of Home Office?

Thanks

No problems. Provided you declared her as subject to immigration control, that's all you need to do. Under tax credit rules, a couple must apply jointly, and Home Office is happy about your having to apply with your wife.
