In the Employment section if I enter the actual, which is also same as I got assessed via ACS (with Australian experience in between) the total points it shows at the end is 65 points.

The Australian experience below is 1 year (12 months) exactly, so I should have 5 points and of the Total experience minus Australian experience= (5yr 11 months – 1 year) =4 year 11 months, should also give me 5 points. So total on Work experience i should get 10, and that should get my total points to 70.

Now if i change the Country from Australia to India, the experience points (i assume) calculated is only 5 points and total points gets down to 65.

Not sure why Skill Select calculates it differently, may be it calculates Overseas or Australian experience in continuous years and not alternatively, as in my case !!!!

Just need assistance on this to know if anyone else have faced this, or i have a wrong understanding.

Below Experience Details:

Please give your points table also

And one more thing.
Has ACS deducted any experience towards AQF ?
If so, I hope you have added the same as non relevant experience and are not claiming points for the same

Have you stopped working after 30/11/16 or continuing in the same job ?

Cheers

IF you mark the Aus experience as overseas, it should add up to >5 years, and therefore 10 points. IF you leave it as Aus (correctly) it should be 5+5 points. So if you're only seeing 5 points for that experience whichever way you mark it, something is, I would guess, going wrong with the way you've entered overseas experience. Have you marked it all to be used for points? (You have deducted the experience used by ACS for assessment from the above, haven't you?)

Thanks for the responses:

Let me add details one by one:

@newbienz:

Details of Points below:
Code 261311 Analyst Programmer
Age 25 points
Degree 15 points
PTE-A 20 points
Experience 10 points (5 Overseas + 5 Australia) OR 10 Overseas (Currently discussed in this forum).
Total 70 Points
EOI Saved, Yet to be submitted.

I had the Experience from Jan 2007, and ACS deducted 4 years and said only consider experience after Jan 2011, and hence i have put in EOI only experience after Jan 2011 (same as i posted in the forum) and market all as relevant for points.

The Experience Cert i had from my previous company was till November 2016, which i submitted for ACS (as i see adding these 4-5 months, of which 1 month is in Sydney will still give me same points), i am still working and currently n Sydney from past 1 month.

@FFacs:

I only entered the experience in EOI which according to ACS was relevant for Points, viz after Jan 2011.

Let me know if i can add any more info, which can help to spot out where its getting wrong.

Before we move further, there is one fundamental error in your EOI
Please add the 4 years deducted by ACS also in the EOI.
Just mark them as not relevant
I will try to further analyse your case soon on the points complications

Cheers

Next submit the application with everything correctly filled

Once you submit it, you will be able to access the breakup of the points that the system is awarding you
Then you can check where the problem, if at all lies

Dont worry if it's wrong also as you can always withdraw the application
Cheers

Thanks for the response and help in understanding this, as suggested i submitted the EOI and got to know its 3 days short of an year (365 days), so bad luck and i gain 0 points here.

But i recently got into another job with different employer in Sydney, so hopefully in couple of months time (after the initial temporary period) i will be able to get a experience letter and claim for points.

Cheers.
