Hi everyone,

I am a British citizen thinking to relocate to Canada. However, I am married to a non British nor western pasport holder spouse and my question is, whether it is possible if I relocate first get a job in Canada then apply for a spouse visa for him? Or do I have to grant Canadian citizenship first in order to process his paper?

Your time and help are much appreciated.

Best,
Sarmoody

You do not need Canadian Citizenship to sponsor a spouse.

Thank you so much for your reply.

How do I go about for my husband to live with me once I relocate to Canada?

Many thanks
