My wife has a permanent Residency of Australia. We got married 10 months back and I want to file for a spouse Visa for immigration to Australia.
My wife left her job (in Australia) to get married and since then we have been living together in USA.

While talking to agents to lodge a application I was advised that my wife needs a job or should have a house in Australia.
Is that correct ?

I have enough funds to support both of us for the initial settlement period in Australia. Additionally, we both are highly educated with good work experience.

I recently opened a joint bank account in case I need to show funds in a joint account.

P.S. : We are Indian Citizens.

I got clear response from SOMV that job or house in not a requirement.

Now the dilema , to hire a agent or file the application on my own.
Any threads you know where someone has documented what all they went throught while filing the application on their own ?

I have got the FBI clearnance and state clearance. :)
