Hello, im looking for some much valued assistance.

I will be applying for the spouse visa for my wife. I will combine salary and savings. The savings are currently held in my fathers name in a "sterling investment isa account". Is this account accepted by the UKBA? The savings would be transferred to my name as a 'wedding gift' 6 months prior to application. Otherwise I might face losing out on quite a substantial tax incentive on the interest accrued as it is an ISA.

If anyone could provide any assistance, or advice it would be vastly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

The money needs to be in your name and under your control for 6 months. It must be held in an account that is readily accessible with or without penalty. If your father is gifting it to you you'll need a copy of his statement showing it going into your account. He'll need to write a statement saying it is a gift.
