Hi All,

I am preparing to apply for a UK Spousal Visa with satisfaction of the financial requirement via Category B. We have the previous 12 month requirement satisfied via my wife's previous job. Her current employment also satisfies the 18600K requirement, however, her current employment is for a fixed term of 6 months. I'm trying to determine if that fixed term of employment affects the Home Office's analysis.

The language and case studies (examples) in Appendix FM 1.7 do not seem to directly comment on this wrinkle, aside from one sentence, "There is no required minimum period for this current employment, provided that the requirements for specific evidence . . . can be met." Paragraph 5.3.4. That does not quite address the issue as to whether the Home Office will deem my wife not to be substantially solvent to serve as sponsor due to the fixed term of employment.

Does anyone have any perspective and/or experience on this issue? Thank you in advance.
