Has anyone here used the Edmonton, Alberta biometrics office for their spousal/settlement visa?

I'm applying online this coming Monday and am confused on what will be my process in Edmonton. I live 8 hours away, so don't want to miss anything before I go.

I heard elsewhere that Edmonton is doing the scanning of applications now? does anyone know if this is true?

If not, will they be sending my documents for me? is it included in my app. fee?
