I'm new to this forum and I wonder if anyone could help.

I am British and my wife is South African. We are applying for a spouse visa to settle in the UK. We are currently in South Africa where we have both been studying for the past 3 years. I have a job offer in the UK from a reputable company which will pay more than the required £18,600, but as we have not yet moved to the UK I have not yet started work.

Can I still sponsor my partners application with proof of my proposed job offer without any current earnings or significant savings in the UK?

No. You'll have to return to the UK alone, start your job and after you are there for 6 months and have 6 pay slips and 6 corresponding bank statements, then your wife can apply from SA.

If you have savings of £62,500 that has been sitting in a readily accessible account, untouched for 6 months she can apply now.
