Hi Everyone,
I have completed Masters in May 2017 and working as a Software Engineer. I would like to migrate to Australia and starting the 1st process which is ACS assessment.

My ANZSCO code in 261313: Software engineer, ICT Professional.

I want to know that does ACS required any relevant work experience for assessment as I'm just having 6-month experience.

Please help me.
really appreciate your efforts.

Thanks,
Vishal

Hi anamica,
Thank you for your quick reply.

That means 2 year of experience is required in any how.

Can you please answer my below question?

So, I'm thinking about showing education till bachelor only.

I have completed BCA and then completed Msc(IT) so in this case, is it possible apply for assessment on basis of bachelors under 261313 ANZSCO : Software engineer category?

Thank you.

Hi

You need minimum 2 yrs. I am guessing you are quite young and will score probably 30 in age. Calculate your total points. Try scoring 79+ in all modules of PTE.
Assuming your degree to is closely related to Software engineering. This might take you to 65. If you opt for state sponsorship then you reach to 70

BUT BUT BUT do this as early as possible. PTE prep might take some time.

Thanks mate for your response.

No, I'm just 23 year old. And completed MSC(IT) in may-2017.

Below is my point structure.

Age: 25
Education: 15
PTE: not appeared but I can score 65+ so, 10 points

So I'm thinking of applying under 489 as that's the only option available for me.

But before that I need ACS assessment and I'm absurd as they required 2 year experience.

So shall I apply on basis of bachelor degrees. And will show experience of 3 year with experience letter if required.

Thanks mate for your time.

Doing this is a fraud and if you get caught you will be refused VISA. Im assuming you are getting this letter from some company that you have never worked with. If you have done your MSc IT in part time and have worked full time, then my apologies for running to conclusion

Target for PTE 79+
I am not sure how will you show experience of 3 years? If its a genuine exp then do show RnR letter issued by HR on company letter head. The format is available on DIBP website BUT DO NOT COPY IT FROM ANYWHERE. Just write in your own words and get issued from HR

Actually, I'm working as full time since Jan, 2017. I'll ask HR to give me letter for 3 year experience. If I'll have letter from company where I'm currently working then is it possible to start the process of assessment.?

I know it's a kind of fraud but this is the only way I can see.

Please answer.

Thanks

Dude... DO NOT COMMIT any fraud. You'll end up getting yourself and your family banned not only from Australia but from other countries as well.

Thank you so much Sharma ji.

I also don't want to commit any fraud but I met one mara agent yesterday and he said we can start assessment with bachelor degree and will show 3 year experience so I was bit worried and that's way I asked here for Help.

So I think there is only one option available which is, I should wait till I turn 25 year and at that time i will be having genuine 2 year work experience. After that I can start processing for PR.

What do you think about my above written thought?

Thanks for helping me.

Yeah this is right but there is no harm attempting a creation of EOI by fair means. The points keep going up and down for invitation so its possible that you may get invited if you are able to reach 60-65 points now. I am saying this because we never know how this point system will be after 2 years. So you try now as well with whatever best and genuine you can do.
Distance yourselfs from that Agent . he is not bothered about your well being instead he just wants to pocket his profit.

Yeah you are right about agent.

What I understand from this whole discussion.
There is no way of crating EOI as I'm not able to have positive assessment as I have no 2 year of experience.

Hello, I am planning to get my professional experience letter sorted with my (only) organization during next week or so as I will be completing my 9 years in 1 week. At the moment it looks like I will have to provide all details to the organization and the same will be sent back to me in a signed format on company letterhead. Though i have one confusion before I initiate this.

I am with the same organisation after passing out of college (in B.Tech Electrical & electronics Engg branch, 2008) for about 9 years now and have been seeing myself growing / changing positions within the same vertical. For example, on designation matrix defined by my organisation I started with Associate, then Software / System Engineer, then Senior Software / System Engineer, then Associate Project Manager, however functionally (as defined in client's specification) i had more sub roles (e.g. Test Specialist, Test Analyst, Sr Test Analyst, Test Lead, Test Manager and finally Programme Test Manager which is my current functional role). Now in between Software Tester and Software Engineer I am predering to apply with SE - 261313 occupation (simply because RnR are same and ST is on STSOL).

Wondering, how should I approach my professional experience letter, i see following options, at the moment.
1. Get one duration of 9 years as Software Engineer with detailed RnR which were performed throughout this duration
2. Get multiple mainstream Role names (as software / system engineer) with split duration and get summary of overall RnR written in letter.
3. Get multiple sub role names (i.e. in testing terms) with split duration and get summary of overall RnR written in letter.

Can anyone having similar sort of profile / experience suggest on this?

Also my experience consists of both Offshore and UK based roles with various terms, should they be clearly split on the letter too?

Can anyone please PM me a good (realistic, not the ACS one :) ) sample for the exp letter?

I would go for option 2

Within option 2 split each change of location also

So basically don't merge any change of designation or location even if it means extra number of entries

Cheers

1.) Get away from that agent. Like sharma said he is just trying to loot you.
2.) Wait till you have 2 years experience.
3.) If you get married in the mid-way wait for 1 year after marriage

My Experience:

Even though I had this idea of migration long back, just like you :), I waited till 2.5 years of experience to completed. In the mid way I got married and waited till 1 years of marriage to be completed, because the if the marriage is less than a year then CO will ask for relationship evidence, coz marriage certificate will be accepted only after 1 year of marriage

So, I waited for 1.5 years approx. just to submit EOI :)

Meanwhile I recommend you to go for further courses or work experience that can help you with a job when you land here. Look at what will be good in 3 years or so and start preparing for it.

Take this advice and your life will be good

Oh man, thank you so much for sharing your experience.

Yes, I think I have made my decision to wait for 2 more years so I'll have genuine experience.

Also, just wondering, is it good idea to go for student visa, if PR visa is no more available.? Does studying in australia add addition points?

I would really appreciate your thought on this.

Btw, thank you very much for giving me valuable advise.
