I have to provide proof of 40 hours per month to the social security people before they can register me .??? But I've only done one job since I returned with my working visa ... Any advice?
I have been paid via cheque emploi service this week, but the client needs my social security number.... Wich I don't have yet?
Stuck in a jam.

Who have you gone to so far? If URSSAF can't help you, talk to CPAM (or vice versa). The fact that you've been paid by cheque emploi should mean that you can be registered for sécu. You'll also need your passport and visa to demonstrate that you're working legally.
