Hi all,

I recently got my ACS Skills Assessment as a Developer/Programmer. I got all 7s and 8s in IELTS so am getting 10 points for English language, 10 points for sponsorship from my brother in Victoria (Australia), 30 for age, 15 for qualification with a Masters Degree in Computing Science. Total of 65.

I wish to apply for Visa 489. What are my chances of being selected with these credentials for 489?

Also, I have work experience for about 3 years as a developer/programmer whilst my ACS skills assessment was happening. Can I still claim points for this work experience that ACS used to grant me my Skills Assessment, or is only work experience gained AFTER the ACS Assessment date counted for points?

Thanks Jay. I could do my English test again to get all 8s and make it 75 for 489 or 65 for Skilled Independent (189 I think).

So any further advice? I'd buy you coffee brother if we were nearby for your help.
