Hi guys,,

I visited the DIAC site after a long time. I was just wondering what visas will be catered through SkillSelect program that is being introduced by 1st July 2012.

I am confused here. The description about SkillSelect here says

From 1 July 2012, if you are interested in the following visas, you will need to submit an EOI and receive an invitation before you can apply for a visa:

Subclass 189 Skilled – Independent (Permanent) (Class SI)
Subclass 190 Skilled – Sponsored (Permanent) (Class SK)
Subclass 489 – Regional Sponsored (Provisional) (Class SP)
Business Skills visa program.
You can also express interest in the following visa programs on your EOI to be selected by an employer.

Subclass 186 – Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) (Class EN)
Subclass 187 – Regional Sponsored Scheme (RSMS) (Class RN)
Subclass 457 – Temporary Business (Long Stay) (Class UC)
You can express interest in a range of skilled migration programs in one EOI.

So what about other subclass? mainly I am concerned of Subclass 175 and 176?
Wouldn't one have go through the SkillSelect process for Subclass 175 or 176?

Also there isn't anywhere I found that OccupationList is going to change and ICT related occupation will likely to be removed?

Please help me out here.

Thanks.
