Hi All Experts,

Good day. I'm in the midst of preparing my australia 190 visa. Firstly, I am conducted a skills assessment by VETASSESS and i got a positive outcome. But, they used my first year of my employment for calculating the qualifying period to meet the skill level. Therefore, my visa point was impacted because i supposed to have 8.4 years working experiences (> 8 years - 15 points) and now it become 7.4 years (ranged in between 5-7 years - 10 points).

So, when i submit my EOI, can i still claim 15 points for my working experience or i must follow Vetassess outcome letter with the evaluated year of experiences (7.4 years) as my working experience?

Looking forward to your kind reply and help.

You have to split the working experience in 2 parts in the EOI
For the 1 year which has been deducted, you will make the entry but mark it as Non relevant
Next entry will be for the 7.4 years and that you can mark as relevant

You will get points currently only for 7.4 years, but if you are continuing in the same job, company, role and location, leave the last entry you make in the EOI TO DATE blank

After 8 months, the computer will automatically give you the extra 5 marks

Cheers

Hi NewBienz,

Thank you for your reply and advise.

For your information, i am yet to log my EOI. Actually, i a bit unsure the mechanism run in the system but i got what you meant. So, you are explaining that it is alright to log 7.4 years now but after 8 months later the system will automatically add another 5 points to me?

To be frank, my current point is only 55 with my ielts band 6+ (with no point). I was thinking to retake ielts test to make myself to meet the points (55 + 10 (If i able to get band 7 in ielts)).

Since the additional point will automatically credit to me after 8 months later, so can i skip the test and log the EOI after 8 months to meet the minimum 60 points? Surely, i will stay in the same company for another 8 months.

Looking forward to your kind reply.

Thank you.

Its your wish.
You can do it now or after 8 months, the effect will be the same
Is there no chance of your getting invited with 55+5 points ?
Whats your Anzsco code ?

Cheers

Hi forever_young and newbienz!!

We have the same situation forever_young. I also got 7.4 when I applied for assessment in November 2016. The result comes out in February 2017 and up to now, I am working in the same company. I am planning to submit EOI but I am holding back because maybe I didn't meet the required 60points. My IELTS is also 6 which is no additional points.

I also want to fast track my application because next I will turn 40.
