Hi all

What's the use/advantage of signing the passport page and bank's debit card from back side?
I travelled from Lahore to Brisbane but no one asked for this.

The signatures on both passport and debit/credit cards are to authenticate the holder/bearer and this requirement is obligatory too.The reason for not being checked/asked for not having signatures is simply lack of information on the part of persons who checked your documents....

may b signing the debit/credit card is required for POS transactions only, i have done many transactions on-line without signing.

So dude....I've got the answer....ICAO(International Civil Aviation Organisation) specialised agency of United Nations to promote safe and orderly development of international civil aviation.ICAO sets standards and regulates travel documents including machine readable travel document/passport.It has prescribed the signature of passport holder to personalise the document and as a deterrent or preventive control security measure to mitigate the risk of fraudulent alteration.Following is the link which is for further info:
