Hi guys!

I'm American (female) My partner is a French male. We're thinking of getting PACS'd here in France simply because the whole shared debt thing in France is SCARY! and doing a prenup might be too much of an extra headache considering we want to move to the UK anyways.

Any idea what's the best step to take for us?... for my partner to claim his EEA rights and me as his unwed but potentially civil partnered (in France/PACS) to accompany him to the UK and obtain the right to live and work in the UK?

FYI: I've been back and forth about 6 times to the UK on visitor visas and I've never overstayed in any country.

Opposite sex civil partnerships aren't recognised in the UK. If you want to come as an unmarried partner you will have to be able to prove that you have lived together for 2 continuous years. Or you could marry.
