I am looking forward to other members to share experience in shipping / flight selection from India to land down under. Like which Flight u took or planning to take, how much (extra) baggage were/will be allowed, how did you manage (or planning to manage) additional shipping. [eg. thru unaccompanied baggage or Sea container (shared/full size)]. My specific my interest is Delhi to Perth but any other India to Australia experience is also welcome. Low cost air like AIR Asia has stopped their operation to/from India earlier this year. Best connections to Perth I see now is thru TG (Thai). But it also swings to SG or MH sometimes, tried to explore Quantas (who seems to have code shared with Jet Air). In most cases airlines don’t explicitly mention benefit for Migrants’ with one-way ticket. (look forward to your tips)

[sorry i couldnt find any thread discussing this topic lately, if u kno some link - wud appreciate if u could post here, or we could get some tips in this thread itself in below format]

Route: DEL - PER
Date: JUN-2012
Airline chosen: Thai/Singapore/Malaysia/Quantas
Baggage allowed: 20/30/40KG per PAX
Apporx Extra baggage rate (if known):
Unaccompanied baggage rate (if opted):
Sea freight shared container rate & FF name (if opted):
Any other remarks:

Thank u so much

My Goodness !

I feel lucky that someone like u (flown from Delhi - it seems) have given this forum so much - only expressing Thanks is not enough.

I have not been surfing Expat forum that often as POMSINOZ forum (somehow the pages here doesnt load as fast as they do in Pomsinoz). But now i really need to take time to read your posts in details - they r quite valuable with great details.

Thanks a million !
