Hi All

Till now i have been silent member of this wonderful forum.

I have been planning to apply for 176 ( i can get 65 points) But due to delay in passport it got prolonged.

So my question to you guys is can i try now and get ACS and SS results before july?
Just want advice from seniors if it's worth a try if i begin next week (passport is dispatched and hope to get it next week) :(

PS: I am a engineer in IT and have 6 years of work experience and yes my skill is in SOL II list. Also i do have all the docs(reference , exp , sal slips etc) for ACS so it will not take time.

Thanks
Rahul

pls mention the following:
(1) your job code
(2) Name of the state(s) in which your job code is available
(3) your IELTS score (if you have)

Which state are you planning to go for? I dont know about ACS processing time but for getting SS it might take anywhere from 8-14 weeks..WA gives state sponsorship in a few days. SA is currently taking 8 weeks...
Atleast give the ACS assessment docs and get the ball rolling bcoz you have to get the assessment anyhow..So why wait?
Try tog et your application beofre July..If not ;atleast get the ACS and SS approved.
You will have ample time to think after submitting your ACS docs bcoz my guess is that ACS might be taking 8-10 weeks for assessment.

Hi All,

Need some guidance.
I am planning to apply for 175. I am waiting for my Ielts to get cleared.(3times 6.5 in one subject :( )

My ANZCO list is flagged (ICT BUsiness Analysts)
I wanted to know what will happen if I apply for June(online 175)
Will they consider my application giving me the same priority which i now.
What will be the effect on my application if my ANZCO code gets dropped.

Can someone guide me with the process?

Thanks!!

ACS is really fast now, currently it takes 2 to 4 weeks (I got it within 4 weeks & for my wife it took only 8 days).
VIC SS can take up to 12 weeks. Though it is better to apply for SS after getting ACS result but not mandatory for VIC. I can see that you don't have enough time to wait for ACS result and then apply.

So better apply for ACS and VIC SS in parallel, you can later submit your ACS report to VIC when they ask for it.

hi

i just checked the site,this is what Victoria State Sponsorship Immigration website says :
Every application for state sponsorship is assessed individually with a focus on your ability to address a number of assessment criteria, including:

your ability to meet the minimum eligibility criteria,
the demand for your particular skills and expertise, and your ability to find work in Victoria,
the suitability and transferability of your qualifications, skills and experience - including any specialist capabilities - to the needs of Victoria’s labour market,
your ability and commitment to establishing yourself, and any dependants, in Victoria with a view to your prospects for long-term settlement in Victoria, and
the demand for your occupation in relation to the allocated quota of sponsorship places.
Applicants who best meet the assessment criteria are offered sponsorship. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee sponsorship.

So doesnt this mean that ACS is needed for applying for state sponsorship in victoria?

No, this doesn't mean ACS is needed at the time of application.

check this: Skilled - Sponsored (176) Visa - Live in Victoria
How to apply for Victorian sponsorship--> 2. Prepare your documents-->

"When you lodge your online application, you must provide:

* a detailed resume or CV
* Victorian sponsorship declaration
* IELTS results (if applicable)
* offer of employment (if applicable).

You may be requested to provide additional documents if your application proceeds in the selection process. These documents can include:

* skills assessment (mandatory)
* trade qualification/certificates
* education transcripts
* evidence of licensing.

If these documents are requested, you will be given reasonable time to provide them.

You can submit scanned copies of these documents as part of your online sponsorship application. We do not require hard copies of any documents. Alternatively, you can email these documents to [email protected] if you did not submit them with your online application. "

Hope there is no more confusion now.

ACS means assessment of your education qualification and work experience related to the job code you have mentioned in your application. ACS has nothing to do with your English.

IELTS you need while filing application for State Sponsorship for visa 176 or visa 175. Hope this answers your question.

If enough time is available, apply for ACS first, then after getting result from ACS, apply for SS.
But as there is not enough time left before july changes, I suggested rahul to apply for ACS and SS at the same time.

If you still have any confusion, please let me know.

We can apply ACS without IELTS score ?
Surely you can, I myself did this.

@saydur, thanks the advice..DO you also think I can do the same with 176 visa via Canberra? I mean in parallel? If God permits, I would like to catch up before July 1, 2012. Ielts to do in the 3 weeks. Thanks in advance.

I am BE Computer, total IT Exp 8 years...Planning for 176SS.

Nothing is in place right now..Gathering all the documents for ACS...

In Next week I am applying for ACS,then appearing for IELTS in next month. Hoping that everything will come on time...

I am not sure how to process fast before July.( I don't want any impact on my process because of the new RULE....)
