Hello,

My settlement visa is about to expire in about 10 days I was granted a settlement visa in July 2011. I know the laws have changed last year but I think I can apply for indefinite leave to remain via SET(M) because my visa was granted before July 2012. I was wondering in the SET(M) form they need a biometric residence permit -I had one done in the US when I applied for my settlement visa - can they use the same one? Or do I have to book another appointment within the UK? I never received a biometric card. Am I applying for the correct visa/settlement to leave? OR do I have to wait another 2 years before I can apply for indefinite leave? Thanks for your help!! :fingerscrossed:

What visa are you on? A spouse visa? Have you passed the Life in the UK test? You don't receive a biometrics card outside of the UK. You have to have biometrics taken for each visa.
