Under Highly Skilled Worker - Tier 1 (General), you are allowed to do any work, provided you have no recourse to public funds and you don't work as a doctor in training without specific permission. So alongside working in your professional capacity, or instead of, you can be self-employed. There may be other rules and legislation governing setting up a particular business, which you need to adhere to.Hi,
Does anyone know if I'm allowed to set up my own business while on a Tier 1 (General Migrant) and still be eligible to apply for my ILR later?
My concern is that there might be a condition for this particular kind of visa that I have to work in my profession to be considered for an extension and later on for an ILR.
