Hi All,

I am new to this forum, need help on EOI. I cleared my acs assessment this year in June, also gave IELTS(L-6.5, R-7, W-6.5, S-6). Filled my EOI in July. On 3 Nov I got the mail from Skill set saying...

Congratulations

You have received an invitation to lodge a Skilled - Independent (Subclass 189) (Permanent) visa application

The problem is I had selected one option wrongly during filling my EOI i.e. "Australian Study Requirement" (which I realize after looking at the point table now) so I got 5 points, total 60. But it is not applicable for me. But I can still make total scores to 60, by showing my spouse assessment and IELTS score.

Could anybody please tell me: Should I apply for visa and convince CO to consider spouse assessment points or should I fill again a fresh application?

Also if I am able to score 60 points, is it still mandatory for me to get 7 band in each section in IELTS?

Letting the invite lapse is probably safer. no 7.0 all is not mandatory if you can manage 60.

Its best to file a new EOI and let this one expire. Getting 7 in each component is not mandatory if you have 60 points but there is no harm in trying for IELTS one more time.
