Hello everyone...

I was wondering if there's anyone out there who have built their own home in Australia using the 'hands on' route.

I am a serial self builder in the UK and the way things work here is that I can do pretty much all the building myself (except for the electrics, gas and oil) so long as it is inspected and and passed by either the council or a new build insurance company.

I'm not sure this is allowed in Australia....or is it??

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
Spencer

AU does have something called owner-builder for which you can take a course.

Start at this:
Australian Owner Builder

or plug in: Australia Owner Builder into your favourite search engine.
