Every second post appears in this thread is different from the previous one. :D
I think DIAC should clarify this as they have clarified about social sec. benefits and medicare clearly. Or anyone who is on 475 visa and his children are going to school.

As you have already been told medicare and centrelink are managed and paid by central government. Schools are managed by the state government who each sets their own rules. They can charge what they want or not dependent on the budget!

Yea thats right Shell, but since each state has its own migration website, they should state this issue as done by NSW, NT and WA. These states charge normal local fees on 475. I dont think it is going to be different in other states as well.
However private schools may charge high fee at their own.

Ausschoolfee We were talking about 475 Visa and not 457.

Coming back to 475 Visa, THE GOOD NEWS is that I have inquired directly from a Piblic School in Adelaide, SA who told me that the Fee payable on 475 Visa would be LOCAL, ranging from 600-800 A$ annually.
Now I am very much clear on this point and this will surely help others too.
