Hi all!

I've recently changed my passport, which left both my UK residence permit and a French Schengen visa in the old passport with my maiden surname (both visas are in my maiden surname as well). I know that it's ok with the British immigration officers, but it's unclear with the Schengen states. Can I still travel to Schengen states on my old visa in the old passport if my current passport holds a married surname (obviously, I'll be carrying my current passport and my marriage certificate as well).

Thanks for your help!

Yes, no troubles and a lot of people do it. Make sure you carry an English translation of your certificate as well if it's in Russian.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply! The Internet is full of various answers for similar situations, I'm travelling tomorrow for business and there was just no time to get a new visa. Thanks!
