Hi guys,

Anyone in the print industry?
I'm looking for info on salary expectations for an experienced prepress technician. I've checked many job sites and they don't post renumeration and the one I did find seems low paid (6-7000/mth). Trying to get an idea of how much I'd be worth in Dubai.

Most of the people in the repro business here tend to be from South Asia, hence the salaries are not high. In fact, the figure you mentioned would probably be considered to be well paid in that respect. You would need to look at management posts to have anything near what you would probably want to consider. Also, certain larger companies in that field here have a bit of a reputation of not having their senior managers around for very long. Having said that, we could desperately do with some consistency in terms of standards in that field here. It's pretty diabolical in my experience.
