some media report that Ryanair personel are unable to create a proper vacation schedule for pilots, but seems that pilots are changing to other carrier if they get money even out of the cockpit...

just found a report in German paper "Die Welt", that RA pushes pilots to cancel its vacation..
some 120 pilots should have changed f.i. to Norwegian..

and a report by a forums member about pilots education costs..
"To the pilots hiring requirements at Ryanair: As a rookie at RA you have to pay the assessment center (approx. 300 euro) from your own wallet. In case of a positive run, the cost of the type rating (about 30,000 euros) must also be paid by the newcomer. Btw. pilots training has already cost more than 65,000 euros, also paid itself. After that, you have to be unlawfully self-employed as a pilot for Ryanair. This is where the German public Prosecutor and the tax Office look particularly closely. Nevertheless, there are enough aspirants that RA will run the booth."

Something very fishy about this debacle. The holiday tale lacks credibility. Have plenty of whinges about BA but when their computer system went down it was quick and easy to claim on their site and payout within a couple of weeks. Ryanair are now offering cheap deals but I wouldn't trust them.
