He job I've been offered they've told me you can only bring pets into Dubai if you live in a villa is this true? I've got two cats.

Well I live in a 8 storey unit block and my neighbours have dogs and cats... lots of pets in the 'old town' area (Downtown Dubai).

No way... pets are usually up to the Landlord. You can easily have cats in a flat!

No not true i have a dog and i live in an apartment ... and my next door neighbor has 2 cats but do check with your landlord as at some places they dont allow pets at all .

Another apartment dweller with 2 cats here - although we are in a ground floor unit with a garden

As others have said it is up to your landlord

And Southak - I assume you only use the bathroom at work then?? Or do you go outside?

Yep, another here who has 2 cats in a 7th floor apartment.

All depends on your landlord or the building.

I find going over the edge of the balcony works best for me. Maybe not for people in the apartments on the six floors below me but hey
