Hi,

1. What are the conditions one has to met to convert his/her resident visa into permanent residency?

2. Do these conditions apply only for principle applicant or all all members converting RV to PR? Can dependent (non-principle) apply for PR on basis that principle has a PR? My family doesn't intend to stay for long duration during my 2 yrs RV stay , so will this impact there chances for getting PR?

regards,
Saurabh

1. You have to have held RV for at least 2 years and then you have to have met one of the five criteria that confirms your commitment to living and remaining in NZ. You can view these criteria on the INZ website.

2. They apply to all persons. Normally the principal applicant has to apply and get PR before any others on the RV application will be given PR. This prevents partners and dependents applying for PR before the principal applicant.
