Hi,

What is the rule / clause applicable while applying for PR (189) relating to recent work experience.

Situation:- My spouse is the primary applicant (because her skill falls under SOL and education qualification is inline to the skill set - gives us better chance of clearing the point test). She has a total experience of more than 10 Yrs, However, she has taken a break (not working) for last 13 Months. Reason being our child (Who is infant) needed additional attention and she decided to take a break to take care of the same.

Going back 10 Yrs starting today, she has more than 8 yrs work experience (all supporting documents are available).

Given this situation, will her break (not having recent work experience) of about a year effect the outcome of EOI or Visa granting process.

Career break (for any legitimate reason) would NOT impact EOI/VISA application.

She would have to garner 60 points minimum for 189 that's it.
