Rental of holiday home

Hello,

As a part time Spanish resident I am thinking of renting my holiday home in Torreblanca ( 2 / 3 bedroom appartment / condo) during the periods that we don't use it. Typically that would be high summer and deepest winter.

I don't necessarily want a tourist let (with all the license related issues), unless it is easier than I imagine. In Valencia I belive anything over 11 days is considered a standard rental. I expect there would be a demand for 2 week rentals over summer and longer periods over winter. There seem to be plenty of UK and Scandinavian visitors over these periods and my neighbourhood seems to be a "little Sweden".

How does one go about preparing for and implementing this idea? I would welcome experiences from anyone who has tried and succeeded, or those that have failed, and why?

Many thanks

That is not correct. It all depends what any contract states as to whether it is someones home or not. The duration of any stay is irrelevant

Your post referred to potential 2 week lets over the summer. What would that be if not a tourist rental? I get the impression you are just looking for a loophole to avoid having to comply with the requirements to obtain a rental licence.
